Late 19th Century Alabaster Tazza or Birdbath

1900 - 1920
Description

A highly decorative late 19th century alabaster tazza or birdbath.

This tazza consists of four carved doves (symbolic of peace) surrounding the circular top with egg & dart carved decoration.

This leads down to the decorative carved base standing on a square plinth.

This is a very decorative piece and could be used for many purposes such as a centrepiece on a dining table, birdbath etc.

The tazza is in good original condition, as is common with alabaster there are some small losses on the birds only but these are not very noticeable.
