Fabulous Quality Japanese Ivory and Rootwood Geese Okimono

1900 - 1920
Description

As part of our Japanese art collection we are delighted to offer this most charming high quality Japanese okimono depicting a family of geese , the goose looks over the three inquisitive goslings while the gander keeps watch , the goose and gander are very finely carved and artist signed by EIICHI to the underside , each of the geese have been pegged with ivory to the thick cut associated rootwood base , this helps with stability and aids with safe packing, a really charming high quality group with the added benefit of the artist EIICHI signature to the adult geese.

The condition is lovely throughout !
