This is a beautiful Japanese shibayama wall plaque with a delightful warm colour to the carved wood detail which is beautifully inlaid with mother of pearl and bone. The plaque is attractively lacquered to both sides. This is a Meiji period piece dating from around 1890.

The panel measures 59 cm by 42 cm.
