19th Century Antique Pine Coffer in Period Paint.

This unsual paneled antique pine coffer is lined in tin, to be used like a Tantalus chest to keep foods and wines cool. In lovely condition, dating from around 1840-50, the pine box has paneled front and sides with the original brass locking plate. In the original, off white paint finish that has a superb surface. A good antique wine and food cooler for more remote bothies, lodges and garden retreats with no electricity.
