Georgian Antique Pawn Brokers Hanging Sign. A superb, rare antique wrought iron Pawn Brokers sign, with an iron wall bracket in a twisted design and complete with the trademark, symbol for a pawnbroker, three gilt wooden balls hanging. Sign such as this one were used in the 18th and early 19th century as most people couldn't read, so they recognised symbols instead. This antique pawn brokers sign is all entirely original and in excellent, complete condition. A highly decorative piece of early English shop signage.
