Early C19th Toleware Tray

Description

A good early C19th toleware tray, with pierced border and of oval form. The tray is painted overall its primary colour is a wonderful yellow ochre that is both stylish and decorative.

These toleware trays wet often made in pontypool between the late C18th and early C19th. This tray could well be one of these and it has a fair amount of age to it which I would put around 1820-30

The condition is very good although there is some slight colour losses in the central panel.
