Large Impressive Pair of Mid 18th Century Pine Door Surrounds

A large and impressive pair of mid 18th century pine door surrounds (or frames) with broken pediment in the Classical design.

These surrounds consist of a carved broken pediment with carved designs including egg and dart decoration.

This leads down to architectural carved mouldings with egg & dart design and dental mouldings.

Underneath this is a superb floral and foliate carved frieze decorated of flowers and scrolling acanthus.

This leads down to the door frame section which are decorated with various carved mouldings.

Both surrounds are in very good condition for age and could be used as door surrounds/frames.

Alternatively they could also be adapted to complete frames and have mirror plates fitted to become a very impressive and large pair of mirrors (at an additional cost).
