Unusual carving of a boy asleep, probably early Victorian, The carving shows a slightly classical looking young boy asleep but happily smiling. The piece has been made in two parts of alabaster, with the actual carving in one piece and the base separate. The piece is in excellent condition for alabaster which is a soft stone with the only real damage being that the base has been split and repaired, the actual carving is fine. C1850
