Description

Size: 3ft 10in x 2ft 2in (118 x 66cm).

Old Afghan Mushwani Baluch grain bag; these are known as ‘balisht’.

Circa 1920.

This example has the traditional Mushwani design to the face with a decorative closing panel at the top.

The back is a stripped plain weave design.

The bag is in excellent condition with very slight wear and good pile. These bags make excellent floor cushions if filled with a pillow.

The bag has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
