Description

This striking PAIR OF ANTIQUE TOOLED LEATHER BOOKENDS, each weighIng in excess of 2lbs, are stamped 'DREYFOUS 3 & 5 BERKELEY ST. PICCADILLY'.

They date from circa 1910.

As would be expected there is some wear to the leather on the edges. They have a warm character and a distinctive English Country House feel.

Books not included.

Provenance: Christie's Hackwood Park Sale, April 1998
