Description

This is a stunning pair of Japanese shibayama panels which date from the late 19th century. Each panel depicts doves sat among blossoms and is intricately and profusely decorated in bone and mother of pearl. The panels have a very pretty dark red lacquer frame which is decorated with blossoms and boughs.

The panels measure 21 inches by 17 inches and are in excellent condition.
