Quiet Street Antiques of Bath has dated this piece to the 1800s.
All have detailed inscriptions written by hand and three are signed by Edward (Dore ?) and dated 1840.

Each is also inscribed "Drawn with sand from Alum Bay. Alum Bay is on the west coast of the island, close to the Needles, and is famous for its multi-coloured sand cliffs. Making sand pictures was quiet a popular pastime in the Victorian era ~ this was called "marmotinto".
