Victorian Leather Cased Gentleman's Travelling Cutlery Set

Description

Hidden away in this leather travelling box is a set of cutlery designed for a gentleman's use and often used by Officer's on campaigns. The box is unusual being made in a simulated bamboo pattern with a purple velvet lining and comprising of folding knife, fork and spoon. The handles are of bone. The fork and spoon are polished nickel, the knife has a Sheffield steel blade. There is some rusting on the knife blade and slight cracking of the leather on one end, otherwise excellent condition. L 4 1/4 x 2 3/4"
