Description

This is a pair of Chinese embroidered picture panels with cranes and peacocks under pine trees from the early 20th century. The embroideries, beautifully worked in silk, are in red, coral and black on a cream background of silk. Each picture has a calligraphic inscription and is in a smart black frame with a manufacture's label to the reverse for Madam Tsui Fookdae, Miss Wan Mee Ngar and Mr S. Taai Coo of Kowloon. They measure 31 cms by 21 cms and are in excellent condition with no marks or staining to the panels.
