Fine Quality Japanese Bronze Mixed Metal Koro Signed

Description

As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to offer this fine quality Japanese bronze and mixed metal koro , the unusual patination of this piece helps contrast the superb onlaid and inlaid mixed metal details , the main body supported by three slender legs is profusely decorated with birds and butterflies amidst exotic flora picked out in gold , silver and other mixed alloys , the side handles formed as elephant heads , the lid is inlaid with a band of flowers and topped with a fine quality gold and silver knop finial , signed to the underside in a three character signature, a great piece of Meiji period mixed metalware !

The condition is great .
