An Early 19th Century Spice Muffineer

Description

An early 19th century muffineer turned from sycamore. The top unscrews for placing your spice/sugar in. These were used for shaking cinnamon on to hot buttered muffins, hence the name muffineers.

Original colour and patina.

It measures approx 15cm in height, base diameter 4.8cm.

Similar ones illustrated in Treen for the Table by Levi.
