Charming Japanese Bronze Okimono Pekingese Dog Meiji Period

1900 - 1920
Description

As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to offer this most charming Japanese bronze okimono depicting a Pekingese dog in a recumbant pose , the detail of the dog is most realistic with silver and black patinated eyes and a wet look nose , signed Koushu to the underside with an incised three character mark.

A great addition to your Japanese collection !!

The condition is lovely throughout.

Length 10.5" 27 cm

Height 5.25" 13 cm

Depth 6.75" 17.5 cm

Weight is a hefty 2443 gms (please note as often is the case with sealed bronzes there is some casting residue loose inside)
