Nice Quality Japanese Ivory Okimono

1900 - 1920
Description

As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to offer this nice quality Japanese okimono depicting an older man smoking his pipe while clutching his tobacco pouch in the other hand,he is clearly taking a smoking break with his walking stick to one side and his bundle of goods on the floor , the carving is very good on this

ivory figure , his teeth or lack of them are a humerous touch and he is signed to the underside with a two character incised signature and a seal mark .

The condition is quite superb!
