Description

A good Victorian gilt gold leaf frame.

Circa 1870. Wood and gesso.

With ribbed main panel, egg and dart inner edge and twist outer edge. Leaf corners and running pattern leaf top edge with strap corners.

Price: £160.

Picture size: 10"x 14". Rebate size: 10 5/8"x 14 3/8".

Sight size: 10"x 13 7/8". Overall size: 16"x 19 3/4".

In very good original gilt gold leaf condition.

A small flat slip could be fitted to reduce the sight size. The frame would probably have had one originally.
