Description

Delightful early 19th.c. oak spinning wheel c.1810. An unusually decorative example with original turned bone and fruitwood fittings and ebony and ivory inlays. Good oak frame and wheel with shaped sides and bobbin turned legs and spindles. The birdcage or flax staff which would hold the unspun wool is a feature lost on most antique wheels.

Dimensions: width 24", depth 12", height 47".
