Description

This is a fine example of a British 1845 Pattern Rifle Officer's Sword, manufactured by Morgan & Co. of Albemarle Street, London. The 83cm single edge fullered steel blade is etched with the cypher of Queen Victoria, a strung bugle and foliage. The nickel plated gothic hilt is also pierced with the strung bugle of the Rifles within the cartouche, and the fish skin grip is in excellent order with its original wire binding. The steel scabbard with two suspension rings is in very good order.
