Quiet Street Antiques of Bath has dated this piece to the 1850s.
Comprising a Terrestrial Globe carrying a map date of 1833 and a Celestial Globe with the earlier map date of 1816 both are in very good condition and suspended within well-engraved adjustable circular brass scales with brass locking wing-nuts to the centre of the turned stretchers.
Measurements: 19ins high overall, the globes 40ins circumference (48 x 101.5cms)
