A Beautiful Set of Regency Wall Shelves

Description

A most attractive set of high quality early 19th century wall-mounted shelves in mahogany. The three shelves – graduated in their depth – are united by three straight slats at the back, and two elegantly curved scroll supports at the front – both fronted with a double moulded reeded edge. There is a surmount consisting of a wavy cut-out gallery upstand, and there are fixing holes in two uprights to attach the shelves to the wall. The finish throughout is original and untouched and has a rich warm colour and patination. These beautiful Regency shelves are English, c.1820s.
