Superb Quality Chinese Cantonese Ivory Card Case

Description

As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to offer this most unusual high quality carved ivory card case made in the Canton region of China in the late 19th century , this little case has a central circular front panel with a boat and pavilions carved in deep relief, the reverse has a similar panel with the addition of a vacant cartouche for someones initials, there are two smaller panels either side of the lid with the outside edges finely carved depicting birds and bats amongst foliage, a fabulous card case of the highest quality.

The condition is superb with no signs of damage or repair !!
