A very interesting set of six solid oak, Gothic Revival, carved heraldic shields. Each shield is individually carved with an heraldic emblem: a helmet, Tudor rose, fleur de lis, rampant lion, Ducal crown and garter. The shields have originally been painted and have different levels of paintwork remaining, some having been completely stripped. The whole are in good order with no losses to the carving. C.1850.
