A wonderful quality pair of hanging gilt display cases of shallow depth, once used to display pocket watches. The cases are in oak which is gilded like picture frames, with locking and opening doors. The whole are in wonderful untouched condition with the original soft gilding and are lined in the original green and red velvet. The cases would be perfect to display miniatures, watches etc, and could also be uses not as hanging cabinets but as table top vitrines. C.1910.
