Fine Quality Japanese Mixed Metal Brush Pot by Nagowa

1900 - 1920
Description

As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to offer this fine quality unusual shaped Japanese bronze vase or brush pot by the Nagowa factory , the almost oval heavy little pot stands on four splayed feet and is inlaid throughout in various mixed metals including gold,silver ,shibuichi and other alloys, the tranquil scene simply depicts a fine mixed metal butterfly above a mixture of inlaid flora , the rim and interior are nicely gilded and the underside has a silver inlaid Nagowa factory mark, a great little pot.

The condition is very good with only expected age wear and no dinks or dents due in part to its robust build quality .
