This is a superb quality antique small William IV caved rosewood Canterbury, circa 1830. The Canterbury has four stunning shaped, splayed carved and pierced sections with elegantly turned spindles and floral carved fretwork panels as dividers which makes it ideal use for a modern day magazine or paper rack. Turned horizontal spindles connect each section. The front section has a stunning carved leaf and floral panel. Below, there is a single working mahogany lined and hand-dovetailed drawer. The drawer features the original turned knobs. The Canterbury sits on turned and fluted legs and terminated on the original brass cap castors. It has a rich rosewood colour with a striking grain, excellent patina, is in excellent condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.

The Canterbury features a rich dark brown colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
