As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to offer this fine quality rare Japanese ivory okimono signed in a oblong cartouche "Masatami Shomin/Seimin" the exquisite detailed okimono depicts a female monkey surrounded by six of her youngsters , they are clambering all over her body clutching bunches of Persimmon fruits , the body hair is finely incised and stained in great detail whilst the eyes are inlaid with horn , this is a magnificent quality Japanese ivory group perfect for the serious collector.

The condition is simply stunning with no cracks or losses and only minor age related wear to the underside staining , Wonderful do not miss it !!
