Description

An unusual late 19th century colonial style round six leg table base suitable for use with a variety of tops. Originally the base would probably have had a circular metal tray top. A glass top however would allow the decorative base to be clearly seen and admired.

The wood is probably Padouk or Chinese Rosewood. The base is subtly shaped and carved and is in good sound order and is nicely polished.

Height 24.5 inches (62 cms)
