A wonderful quality Meiji period caved boxwood netsuke. The netsuke is carved as the serpent dragon grasping the pearl and is worked in the most wonderful detail. The whole is a lovely colour and has a nice patina. The netsuke is in very good condition, only one of the eyes has been replaced with a bead. The netsuke also has a mother of pearl insert on which the artist name is carved. C.1900
