From the heartland of the great Welsh slate industry, this superb piece of mid 19th.c slate art. A large and skillfully shaped slate plaque with beautiful hand painted floral decoration surrounded by an intricate border detail. A few scratches to the surface, otherwise very good condition. With a hanging plate fixed to the rear.

Dimensions: width 17", height 18".

Year: c.1860
