We are pleased to offer this fine quality Victorian Antique Desk Stand dating from ca. 1880 and has been constructed using rare decorative Coromandel.
Under the dome lid is a small brass button, that when pressed releases a concealed writing slope with tooled leather writing insert. This is a very well crafted piece standing on small bun feet and finished in a rich dark Coromandel wood that has a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
