London 1902 rare Arts and Crafts movement English hallmarked solid silver topped, rattan covered locking glass decanter. The solid silver mounted neck and stopper are hallmarked by famous makers John Thomas Heath and John Hartshorne Middleton, the principal partners of Hukin and Heath, the firm made famous for Arts and Crafts Design.
The original lock and key are silverplate, while the neck, hasp, stopper, and button under cork inside stopper are fully hallmarked solid silver as above.
In very good condition with the exception of some loss to the rattan bottom strip in front, which could be restored if desired, and a small bruise to the top of the stopper.
An extremely unusual aesthetic piece, not likely to be seen again.
