Very Rare Mathieson Cornice Plane

Description

Here we have an INCREDIBLY RARE early 19th century 12" long by 3" wide complex HANDLED cornice plane by ALEXANDER MATHIESON of GLASGOW in basically UNUSED condition.

The plane bears the earliest Mathieson stamp which dates it to the first half of the 19th century. The condition is basically mint.

These wide handled cornice moulding planes are rare but in this condition for such an early plane almost un-heard of.
