Description

A truly magnificent find, a combined set of Fruit Eaters and Fish Knives and Forks, twelve of each, creating a 48 piece set complete in their original Mahogany box.

Dating to the late Victorian era, the set is made from silverplate and both sets having matching makers marks for Allen & Darwin of Sheffield and London.

The fish knives and forks all have their original Mother of Pearl handles with highly decorative ferrules. The fish knives and forks are all beautifully engraved.

Most unusual to find the two sets together in one case, all in excellent condition.

The box measures 17" x 10" x 4 3/4"; the fruit knives measure 7 3/4", the fruit forks, 6 5/8"; the fish knives measure 8 1/4" and the fish forks, 6 7/8".
