The Waverley Desktop 8" Globe Circa 1920

Description

Mounted on a turned, ebonised wood stand, this 1920s GLOBE measures approximately 15 inches (38 cm) in height. The actual GLOBE measures approximately 8 inches (20 cm) in diameter.

It is entitled 'THE BOOK OF KNOWLEDGE - THE WAVERLEY GLOBE - Steamer Distances in Sea Miles - Railways Heights in Feet - British Possessions Red - The Waverley Book Co Ltd., 96 Farringdon Street, London EC4'.

The condition is generally good. The paper has taken on a good colour. A replacement washer on the bottom of the globe would help it move more smoothly.
