Mid 19thc Italian Carved Walnut Wall Carving of Cherub Faces

A highly decorative mid 19thc Italian finely carved walnut wall carving of large proportion and good patina (colour).

This powerful carving depicts two entwined, winged cherubs supported by a design of carved drapery.

Underneath the central cherubs is a carved section of feathers and either side of this are supports with scroll and carved acanthus leaf decoration.

This piece is a superb decorative piece possibly used as a focal point above a bed or in a large room.

It would look very effective hung on a white wall as a statement piece.
