Arts And Crafts Oak And Brass Stand

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Prometheus Antiques

A unusual oak and brass, Whatnot come magazine stand. The piece is made of oak uprights with an oak shelf at the bottom, this is then crossed with brass tubing to make shelves for magazines or books, although it could also be used for wine. The piece is very arts and crafts in feel, although the oak uprights are applied with brass motifs in style very similar to works of the Vienna secessionists. The piece stands on the original castors and is in excellent untouched condition overall, it has a wonderfully stylish appeal and also very useable C.1900.
