Description

Collection of Nine English Antique Witch Balls.

A stunning collection of nine, hand blown glass witch balls all are either mercury or silver plated.

They vary in size but all are in great, original condition.

Witch balls were hung in windows to ward off evil spirits and it was also a common belief that if a witch saw its reflection in the witch ball they couldn't enter the room.

Antique dealers are notoriously attracted to them! Despite the belief it is bad luck to sell them. To get around this problem, we say we are selling the string that's attached to them and the ball is free.

These are not reproductions.
