Finest Quality 19th C Ivory Parasol Handle

Description

We are delighted to be able to offer this superb quality ivory parasol handle probably from Dieppe although it is possible it is Chinese ? , the long turned handle tapers from its bulbous grip to its parasol end, and is carved in exquisite grape and vine and floral decoration throughout most of its length in a twisted fashion , i have tried to show the deep crisp carving to its best affect but you really need to handle it to fully appreciate it .

The condition of the carving is great , the handle has a fine age crack to be expected , it is simply superb and a great addition to your collection .

Approximate length 12"
