French Painted Canework Shelves.

1900 - 1920
Description

Very unusual set of early 20th.c. French painted canework or bergere shelves c.1900. Wonderful carved frame with gilded detail. Excellent condtion with original paintwork and castors, each of the shelves is re-enforced with a wooded stretcher below which adds extra strength and has helped to preserve the original canework. Ideal as a bathroom piece.

Dimensions: width 24", depth 14", height 42".
