Rare Set of Four 17th Century Antique Stone Lions.

A wonderful collection of true English 17th century antique stone lions.

Each antique stone lion is naively hand carved all the way around and stands firmly.

These are not composite, but solid stone.

Each lion has it's own character, being hand carved they are not identical.

Dating from the mid 17th century, Cromwellian, these antique stone lions are in very good and complete condition, they're probably formed a decorative part of a fire surround.

Now at Miles Griffiths Antiques showrooms in Clitheroe, Lancashire.

Height: 32cm (12.6")

Additional Information: Two lions are 32cm high and two are 30cm high.
