A very unusual pair of model cows from the thirties. The cows stand on hard wood bases and are modeled as a Bull and cow. The figures are hand worked in plaster over a composite base, with a hand painted finish. The cows were perhaps made as advertising, butchers ornaments or for use in agricultural colleges. The pair are both made to a high quality finish and their exact purpose is open to debate. The figures are in excellent condition and are of an impressive size, and make an unusual decorative presence. C.1930
