Fabulous Marquetry and Parquetry Inlaid Chess Board

1900 - 1920
Description

Here we have on offer a most gorgeous quality specimen table top chess board that has been lovingly put together using exotic timbers such as rosewood,satinwood, kingwood ,olivewood and walnut to name a few , the detail is amazing it must have taken dozens of hours of dedication, it has been veneered on oak or mahogany and probably in the late Victorian/Edwardian period , the top has been nicely polished to a high sheen just showing a few old useage marks beneath the surface, the underside is baize to protect your table top.

Wether you do or do not play chess this would look superb set up in your games room !!
