A charming miniature bureau in birch. The bureau stands on bracket feet with three drawers and a fall. The bureau is made in bur birch and has the original ivory knobs and escutcheons. The interior is very plain and this would indicate that it was made as a child''s toy rather than an apprentice piece. The whole is in excellent condition with a good warm colour and patina, and an unusual and charming piece. C.1900
