Oriental Two Fold Room Screen

Description

Oriental carved and laquered two fold screen. This beautiful screen comprises of two panels, each richly decorated with carved birds, branches, foliage etc in relief on a black ground with dark red painted border, the back of each panel is decorated with trees etc, painted in black on a dark red ground. The frame itself is intricately carved with birds etc.

Other than a couple of very minor losses, not apparent and definitely nothing to detract from the beauty of the screen itself, this really is a stunning piece and the photos do not do it justice.

the areas of white on the reverse side of the screen are reflections and not marks.
