Description

An unusual piece with a fabulous label to the back, always a lovely bonus. The base is made from heavy cast brass and the book rest itself from polished English Oak.

The reverse side of the Oak has the most wonderful label printed "Carters Trade Mark Literary Machine 6A New Cavendish St. Portland Place London W" Adjustable up and down and comes apart for travel and storage.

Excellent condition, the front panel of Oak measuring 12 1/4" wide x 8 3/4" tall; complete on stand the piece measures 13 1/2" tall and the brass base having a diameter measuring 6 1/4".
