A charming Art Deco period inkwell in the form of a parrot on a stone perch. The Inkwell is carved from solid alabaster with the inkwell having a recess for ink with a brass collar and an alabaster lid. The piece is typically Art Deco with the parrot carved in elegant stylised streamline manner. The piece is in excellent untouched condition, with no damage. This is a very elegent desk item from the great age of stylish design. C.1920.
