Large Japanese Lacquered Postcard Album

1900 - 1920
Description

fabulous large japanese lacquered postcard album, the front with wonderfully intricate carved dragon applied decoration, possibly in ivory, the interior and nine pages are all covered in silk with handpainted decorations of ladies, flowers etc., in all there are 19 postcards, some unused and some written and stamped dated 1905 onwards.

other than one minor loss to the dragon decoration and some light scratches to the lacquer, this beautiful album is in very good original condition.

height 11" length 14" (all sizes approx.)
